We are Gerthy (Gigi) and Geert, a couple from Belgium. We lost our hearts to Italy long ago and thoroughly enjoyed our frequent visits. In 2014 we visited Genoa and were bowled over by all the city has to offer. Since then, Genoa has taken root in our hearts and we wanted to spend as much of our time as possible there. We decided to look for a home in this wonderful city.

Luck was on our side when we found a large apartment in a UNESCO heritage site. With financial support from our Belgian friend Sven Vinck, our dreams became reality and in 2016, we became the proud owners of the royal 1st floor of the Palazzo Donghi.
