Remember: the historical city centre is a pedestrian-only zone!
Upon entering the historical city centre, everyone is photographed. Non-permit holders will be fined automatically. Taxis are permitted in the pedestrian-only zone. Finding a parking space is near impossible in Genoa city centre. Cars must be parked in one of the official car parks. Prices vary little and cost around 24€ per day. It’s only a short walk from the car parks to the historical centre. You can also take a taxi to the historical city centre. Ask the driver to drop you off at ‘Piazza San Lorenzo’.
